Classic Systems Protects Ritz-Carlton With State-Of-The-Art
Security/Fire Systems

The complex fire protection and security systems at the Ritz-Carlton at Battery Park and the Ritz-Carlton Uptown (former St. Moritz site) were designed, supplied and installed by Classic Systems, inc., specialists in low voltage systems since 1997.

The fire alarm systems at the Ritz-Carlton facilities were manufactured by Fire Control Instruments (FCI) of Waltham, Massachusetts and Space Age Electronics of Marlboro, Massachusetts. FCI was selected because of its vast history of superior products and expertise in high-rise applications. Space Age Electronics was utilized because of their unique ability to custom manufacture a high quality product to fit any need.

"The fire alarm system included a Fire Command Center and associated peripheral devices located strategically throughout the building and done in full compliance with strict New York City codes," Alan Glassman, Vice-President of Classic systems, stated.

"The security systems installed at the Battery Park location were from among the industry's leading manufacturers," Glassman stated. 'This installation included video intercom, CCTV, door monitoring, and a 'panic system'. All of the systems report back to a monitored security office and a mini-monitoring station at the condominium's concierge desk."

In addition to the Ritz-Carlton locations, Classic Systems installed the fire alarm systems at the New York's Sofitel Hotel and Giraffe Hotel. Their impressive list of clients also includes 515 Park Avenue and 101 West End Avenue. At 515 Park Avenue they installed a security system interfaced with the elevator control system, and at 101 West End Avenue they provided a multifaceted security system. For a branch of the City of New York, they provided a Card Access and CCTV integrated system over the city's network.
